Emotion is a broad field of study encompassing diverse approaches from the history, philosophy and sociology of emotions to the neuropsychology, experimental psychology and psychotherapy of emotions.  Some approaches are distant relatives to emotional processing but others are close family members.  In this overlap section, we have concentrated on the brothers and sisters of emotional processing where the overlap in ideas is very clear.
